On a beautiful May Saturday, the ISA Winter sports competition commenced with players and coaches happy to be back in action. The Chev results overall were very positive.
A summary of the day’s events began with the Tennis teams in action. Chev 1 and 2 had good wins against Oxley and Central Coast respectively.
The Netball teams were off to a great start with the 1sts very good against St Paul’s. Logan L. was excellent in her first game in the top division. Unfortunately, the remainder of the Netball results weren’t quite so uplifting.
In the Hockey, the 1sts drew in the local derby against Oxley. Ashanti S. was the Chev goal scorer. The 2nds also started their season well with a 5-0 win over Barker.
The Soccer results were excellent for both boys and girls. The Girls 1sts scored 12 against Oakhill with numerous goal scorers. The Boys 1sts knocked 8 past St Paul’s with Will P. scoring 4. The Inter A Girls also scored 8 with Harriet E. scoring 6 on her birthday!
The Rugby Boys all finished with smiles on their faces as all teams were winners in good contests against Scots All Saints.
So, a great day to kick off sport. Our grounds are looking a picture, there were no major injuries to cause concern – happy days.
