Chevalier College’s digital platforms support families to stay connected, informed and engaged with their child’s learning and school life.

Parent Portal

The Parent Portal includes Parent Orbit and Parent Lounge, providing access to important College information and tools that support day-to-day school life.

Parent Orbit App

Parent Orbit is the College’s mobile app that enables you to:

• Receive instant notifications, alerts and Chev News
• Approve excursion attendance and view details
• Advise the College of absences and track attendance
• Access your child’s school calendar, eDiary and timetable
• View extracurricular activities and training schedules
• Review medical details and academic reports promptly

To access:

• Download ParentOrbit from the AppStore OR Google Play using the QR code provided.
• Enter school code: chevalier and then Tap ‘Login’
• Continue as prompted through the sign in process (using the login details you have set up with the College)
  Allow the App access to all information…and you are in!  Don’t forget to enable Notifications.

Parent Lounge

Parent Lounge is the web-based version of Parent Orbit and contains the same information and functionality.

Canvas

Canvas, our Learning Management System (LMS), is a key part of every Chev student’s educational experience.

Canvas provides students with learning resources, assessment tasks notifications and feedback, a mark-book for tracking progress, discussions, their home learning calendar, and much more.

Parents can effectively support their children by becoming ‘observers’. This process has been streamlined  to make access and use easier and we would encourage every parent to use their account so they can see what home learning (home work), assessment tasks and projects students need to undertake.
