The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is coming to Chevalier College. In partnership with YouthAdvance Australia, Chevalier College students in Years 9 to 12 can now undertake their Award via the Chevalier College – YouthAdvance Client Award Centre!
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a life-changing program that gives you real-life experience, challenges and a feeling of independence and self-satisfaction. It is filled with fun and friends and will create unforgettable memories to empower you and equip you with life skills for whatever you want to do, #WorldReady
We have been in discussions with YouthAdvance to implement the Duke of Ed Award at the school and YouthAdvance staff will be conducting a parent information evening on:
DATE: Monday 25 November
VENUE: SILC Please note change of venue, moved to SILC, upstairs from C3 Classroom
During this information session, YouthAdvance staff will provide details about the Award, what is involved, costs and how to register so that you can be involved in this fabulous program.
One of YouthAdvance’s recent Gold Awardees wrote in his report, “tell people to forget their phones and life at home and live in the moment to learn as much as possible and have fun”. A Bronze participant said “I have learnt that Duke of Ed is one of the best experiences that I have participated in throughout my life, not only meeting new people, gaining a greater amount of knowledge through nature, technology, and essential life skills”.
YouthAdvance of course fully supports these statements – going forth, get out there and see this big beautiful world. Challenge yourself to do new things and pursue new heights and learn skills and things about yourself along the way.
We look forward to meeting you at the Parent Evening.
Please RSVP at the following link so that we can ensure sufficient seating. If you are unable to attend, please also use the link to register your interest in the program.
