ISA Winter Round 3 Results
Football (Soccer) – Boys
Firsts had a nil all draw. Seconds had a 7-nil win over St Paul’s Grammar, displaying good communication and team effort.
Unfortunately, the 15’s went down 3-nil. It was a solid effort from the Chev boys with far more shots on goal than the opposition. They just struggled to put it past the keeper.
The 14’s had a 5-nil win. The boys worked well as a team, displaying a good passing game and stamina to play the entire game with reserves.
Football (Soccer) – Girls
Firsts lost 2 to 3. It was a well-played game by both teams, with Lucy T scoring 2 goals and Ciara B having a great but hard-fought day in goals.
The B’s lost 2-nil. It was a close game that could have gone either way. Strong games by Delilah K in the midfield and some great saves from Olivia W and Imogen G in goals. The team learned a few more rules today and improved their skills. The team will be looking forward to playing Barker College again in the second round.
The Junior A’s went down 3-nil.
Netball
Seconds had a great win at home 45-16. The girls are really starting to come together as a team. There was also great support from parents and the Chev community.
The Inter A’s lost to Barker 34 to 70. The team are a new make-up and showed promising signs. The Inter B’s lost 22 to 31. The girls put in a brilliant effort but in the end, Barker was the better team on the day.
The Junior A’s had a nice win 47-8. They enjoyed playing at home, with a great atmosphere and wonderful College spirit. The Junior B’s had a 32-20 win and the Junior C’s won 32-18.
The Junior D’s won 41-1. It was a strong defensive performance by all the girls at home limiting St. Andrew’s Cathedral School’s score to only one goal for the game. A highlight was Lulu E’s impressive defensive play as GD, Amity B’s controlling possession at centre supported by a buoyant Sophie L in her first game for the season.
Tennis
Chev 1 Div 6B defeated Barker 7 sets to 1, with a dominant display 46 games to 12. Molly, Augo, Riley and James have been training really well and played some excellent tennis to record a resounding victory. Augo is yet to be beaten in singles matches stretching back to the start of last season.
Chev 2 Div 7B defeated Barker 8 sets to 0, 48 games to 5. Hannah, Shruthi, Harry and Kaito played excellent tennis to defeat Barker convincingly, with Barker only winning 5 games over 8 sets of tennis.
Chev 3 Div 8B lost to St Augustine’s 2 sets to 6, 33 games to 43.
