ISA Round 7

Rugby

The First XV travelled to Scots College, Bathurst on Saturday to play their fifth-round fixture of the ISA competition. In amazing conditions for running rugby, Chevalier played some of their best attacking rugby of the year. Hugh H intelligently directed the team down field and was well supported by hard running forwards Daniel B and Angus W. The match was strongly contested by both teams with Chevalier trailing by two points with a minute to go before Scots broke away and scored in the final play of the game to seal a 27 to 22 victory for the team from Bathurst. An excellent performance from Chevalier who will no doubt continue to improve as the season progresses.  Thankyou to Mr Abela for the great photos!

Girls Football

Firsts lost 7-1. A game of 2 halves 5 nil in first & 2-1 in 2nd half. This had them playing very defensively and under pressure in 2nd half. Sarah R, Tannah W were great in defence. Bianca W did a great job in goal, saving 10-12 shots until she had a shoulder injury early in 2nd half and was replaced by Ciara B who saved 3 more. Unlucky to not have got 2 more goals.

Boys Football

Firsts lost 5 – 0 on Saturday. It was alot closer than the score line indicated – it was 1 – 0 until the 60th minute before fatigue set in. Best players were Ashton S who controlled the midfield and tempo for the majority of the game, Thomas P for being an attacking threat all game and George M who organised the defence well.
