Chevalier College has a long-standing and proud tradition of commemorating Anzac Day. This year, more than ever, it is important for us to show our respect and stand together.
Our Year 12 Leaders are encouraging the Chev community to participate in the ‘Light Up The Dawn’ initiative on Anzac Day. Current and Past Students are encouraged to stand at the end of their driveway or front gate at 6.00am on Anzac Day to pause and remember all those who served and sacrificed themselves for our country. Current students are asked to wear their full college uniform and we’d love to see as many Chev Past Students in their college jerseys as possible.
Please take a photo of yourself or your family commemorating Anzac Day and email it to office@chevalier.nsw.edu.au by Monday 27 April. We will put together a collage and short film to share on the college website, Shield&Heart website and our social media pages. The collage will also be the focus for home room prayers next week.
It is important for us to capture how we continue to show respect and spirit, even in the most difficult of times.
