Facilities and Campus

Facilities and Campus

Giving Hearts and Minds the space to grow

Chevalier College is located in the beautiful Southern Highlands region of New South Wales. Our extensive school campus is situated on 100 acres, in Burradoo.

With sprawling playing fields, our onsite farm and state of the art facilities, the sheer size and beauty of our campus truly sets us apart from other schools.

The College is well-equipped with excellent facilities that support the growth and wellbeing of our students, including:

The Sacre Coeur Performing Arts Centre

Our current Performing Arts Centre was opened in 2018. It provides a fantastic facility for College events such as musicals with tiered seating accommodating up to 300 in the audience, specialist acoustics, dedicated dance and drama studios, green room, rehearsal spaces and change rooms.

The John Fahey Education and Sport Centre

Our John Fahey Education and Sport Centre was constructed in 2018. It is a great new asset for our PDHPE department, sporting and school events. Retractable tiered seating is a welcome feature for our awards ceremonies, celebration days and large community gatherings.

McGrath Hall

McGrath Hall has long been the venue for significant College events including the annual Presentation Ball and Valedictory Dinners, masses and liturgies, and is currently being redeveloped into a new Hospitality Precinct which will provide state of the art hospitality and commercial kitchen facilities to support curriculum and VET programs, and enhanced facilities for students and community events. It is currently scheduled to be completed in late 2026.

Trade Skills Centre

The Chevalier College Highlands Trade Skills Centre opened in 2015 – a contemporary learning space for Construction and Primary Industries.

Extensive sports facilities

Our larger campus means we have extensive sports facilities. We have six large sports grounds and other courts and tracks. We are part of the Independent Sports Association (ISA) and regularly host events on campus. Our facilities include soccer fields, hockey fields, rugby fields, cricket pitch, netball courts, tennis courts and a mountain bike track.

Mountain Biking Track

Mountain biking is one of our most popular sports, providing a great option for active students who may not gravitate towards the traditional ISA team sports.  Our team trains on extensive, graded tracks within College grounds and also travels further afield to compete in races and challenges.

Working Farm

The farm is home to cattle, sheep, chickens and an alpaca as well as a bountiful vegetable garden. The College Show Team care for and present animals at agricultural shows including regional events and the Royal Easter Show frequently being home awards.

Jules Café and commercial kitchen

The popular full service teaching café “Jules Café” provides students practical experience towards their VET Certificates in Hospitality (Food and Beverage) and Cookery. Look out for the new and improved Jules Café which is part of the redevelopment of McGrath Hall in 2026.
