The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award supports young people aged 14–24 to explore their potential and develop confidence, resilience and purpose.
The Award is voluntary, non-competitive and encourages students to set and achieve personal goals aligned to their interests and aspirations.
YouthAdvance partners with Chevalier College to deliver the Award to students in Years 9 to 12.
Participation in the Award provides students with opportunities to develop life skills including confidence, resilience, teamwork and problem solving. The Award is highly regarded and may contribute to university pre-admission pathways, ATAR points at some institutions and future employment opportunities.
Students are encouraged to engage with their local community, remain physically active and develop new skills, while building leadership capability and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
