Theatre and Performance at Chevalier

Chevalier College is well known for its annual productions, which alternate between a musical and a drama or comedy play each year.

All students are encouraged to get involved, whether for enjoyment, personal development or to further develop performance skills.

There are opportunities for actors, singers and dancers, as well as musicians in the orchestra and students interested in behind-the-scenes roles. These include technical production, hair and makeup, costumes, set design, sound and lighting, and stage crew.

Our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre provides a professional environment for students to perform in. Chevalier productions have received recognition in the prestigious NSW LimeLight magazine and various other awards for innovation in theatre. We also enjoy bringing new works to our stage and have recently had the privilege to be the first school in NSW and the first school in Australia to perform theatrical works recently released to schools from their Broadway and Westend seasons.
