Advocacy and legal learning

Mock Trial provides students with a practical understanding of the judicial system through participation in a true-to-life court setting. Students take on a range of roles, including barrister, solicitor, witness, magistrate’s clerk and court officer, as well as supporting case preparation.

Through this collaborative, role-based experience, students work together towards a shared goal while developing skills in advocacy, debating, problem solving and professionalism

Chevalier Mock Trial teams have enjoyed strong success, including state championship wins in 2013, 2015, 2022 and, the only school in NSW to win for the fourth time in 2025!
