Summer Sport Round 2

There was hope for all sport to be played until early Saturday morning when Zeus had other ideas!

Most games of Basketball went ahead as did Boys Touch Football at St Gregory’s. Some of the Basketball on outdoor courts ended up being cancelled as well.

The Girls 1sts Basketballers played at Chev against Blue Mountains and had a good match showing promising form. Georgia G. and the twins Sarah B. and Darcy B. were the top scorers.

For the Juniors it was a similar story with Chev dominating on the scoreboard. Shooting well were Grace B., Sophia T. and Tilly S.

The Inters at Oxley ended up in front by 6 in a close match. Arabella W. was great in defence and Annabelle B. was all over the court.

In the Boys Touch Football which went ahead at St Greg’s the games were modified due to the rain. Conditions were wet and slippery so ball handling was a test. The Juniors came up against a fast and skillful St Greg’s team who managed to put on a few tries.

Likewise the Senior Boys who played well and in a very close match went down 7-5.

In the Boys Basketball at St Greg’s matches were close, particularly the 17s game which Chev won by 3.

The 14s weren’t so fortunate, going down by 1 basket in a close, exciting game.

Hopefully, the rain will stop and the college grounds dry out as most Chev teams will be playing at home this coming Saturday.
