A couple of Chev games were casualties of the wet conditions on Saturday 13 February, with the 1sts Cricket team’s game called off just before the bus was about to depart.
The Softball Girls at Wentworth Park weren’t quite so lucky as games had commenced prior to a downpour which halted proceedings.
The local Junior Cricketers battled on against the elements and possibly wished that they hadn’t bothered. Chasing a modest total of 52 runs against Robbo’, our team just couldn’t handle the soggy, slippery ball and the batting collapsed to tally only 17!
The Basketballers at Chev faired better with Patrick Bartlett’s 14B Boys commencing the day with a very good team performance against St Paul’s. In a 35-27 win Chev’s best was Liam D.
The Junior A Girls were next up and were very impressive against Central Coast, winning 57-26. Chev’s best for the Juniors was Matilda S.
The Inter Girls came up against a strong Central Coast team and were defeated, but no-one tried harder than Sophie I.
The Boys Basketballers on the road had a pretty tough day against Redfield with our 17’s the only winners.
Soggy conditions for the Touch Footy girls meant our Senior Girls got quite muddy at Macquarie Uni. The Touch results were excellent with all of the senior teams successful.
