Netball
Inter A Netball lost 23:22 to Oxley
It was a nail biter, we went goal for goal all match with both sides displaying outstanding defence. We had our chances but luck just wasn’t with us today.
Firsts won 58-51 great close game with good friendship and sportsmanship. Logan Lewis lead in the mid court while Zahli T provided great defence.
Chev 5 lost 49-22 BUT we got compliments from the refs about what a lovely team we are. She said to Abella P ‘it’s so nice even when you’re losing to be so encouraging’.
Chev 9 A great game at Oxley today for Chev 9. Very close and exciting towards the end but we were just beaten – 16 Oxley to 15 Chev.
Chev 8 Chev 8 went down to Oxley 6 on a frosty Highlands morning. Girls played well with only 7 players and a number of them playing out of their usual positions! 28 – 12 loss
Girls Football
Firsts lost 7-1. A game of 2 halves 5 nil in First & 2-1 in 2nd half had them playing very defensively and under pressure in the 2nd half. Sarah R and Tannah W were great in defence. Bianca W did a great job in goal, saving 10-12 shots, until a shoulder injury early in 2nd half saw her replaced by Ciara B who saved 3 more. We were unlucky to not have got 2 more goals.
Girls Hockey
Our 1st team was put into Div 1 this week – a stronger competition. They lost to Redlands 7-3 but enjoyed their hockey so much more.
