Weekend Sports Report – ISA Round 6

Weekend Sports Report – ISA Round 6

The 2014 ISA season concluded on Saturday 22 November and once again we had a beautiful day for sport.  We had a great day of competition with the Boys 1sts teams deserving of some kudos.

The 1sts Cricketers really got their act together in recent weeks and racked up their third away win in a row.  To win away against St Pats in any sport has not been done by many teams in recent history.

Our star player of the day took 6 wickets and made 86 runs and another of our boys took the catch of the season so far.

While on cricket results, the 16s had a great first day of play against Bowral.  The 150 run opening partnership from Chev’s batsmen and some great bowling won the day.  Our best bowler took 3 wickets for 2 runs!

The Basketball 1sts also had a good win against Central Coast.

All of the Boys B Basketball games were close affairs with the 15s getting up by 2 and the 14s going down in overtime.

The Softball was enjoyable as always for the girls.  Our 1sts were up against Barker and in a fantastic match they went down 7 runs to 2.  It was a great all round effort.  The 2nds also played well in a 7-19 loss.

The Basketball Girls enjoyed a great morning of competition against Redlands.  The 1sts match was even for three quarters; it’s a pity our girls started slowly and Redlands had a good lead at quarter time.

All of the girls’ teams are doing well in their respective competitions.  All teams except the local Cricketers now have a break before the competition resumes next year.

Looking forward to another great year of Chev sport in 2015!    Click to view sports results…
