Sports Report – ISA Winter Round 5

Brrrr, winter has arrived! The sports teams endured chilly and damp conditions on Saturday.

All of the Chev Netball teams were playing on home courts. The Year 12 girls in our 1sts team have actually played their last ever home match as they have had five home fixtures in a row. The girls finished their home stint with a strong showing against St Paul’s. Best performers were Eva Lawrance, Mackenzie Edwards and Molly Good.

All Hockey teams were also at home playing against Oxley in the local derbies. All Chev teams were winners, with the 1sts finishing off strongly in a 4-1 win. Goalscorers were Gabby Bunyan and April Hamilton with 2 each and Grace Howard was a star performer.

In the Girls Soccer, good results for the Opens and Inters while the Juniors struggled against Central Coast Grammar. The Open 2nds had a thrilling 2-2 against St Andrew’s with goals from Danica Elliott and Ella Benson. Millie Horn scored both goals for the Inters against Central Coast.

The Boys Soccer 1sts and 2nds both had 3-0 victories against Blue Mountains in cold, gloomy and slippery conditions. The 1sts goals were scored by Jordan Provino, Lachlan Screen and Jude Davids.

The 2nds scorers were Liam Mulhall, Jacob Stirling and Carlo Teodorowych.

The 16s travelled to play St Andrew’s and came home with a 6-0 win. It was 0-0 at half time, and the 6 second half goals came from Jonah Elias and Aidan Finlan.
