Sports Report – ISA Winter Round 3

On another glorious May day there was plenty of action at school and around the ISA school grounds. Most games were closely contested.

For the Chev 1sts teams, the Netball Girls came up against a very strong Oakhill side.

In Hockey it was the local derby against Oxley. A first half cracker of a goal from April Hamilton was enough to get the points. Best for Chev were April Hamilton, Lucy O’Hea and Goalkeeper Kaelan Read.

In Rugby the Chev Boys started slowly against Redlands but composed themselves to come home all over the top and run out 33-12 victors.

In the Girls Soccer the undefeated Chev team had a reality check away against Oakhill going down 7-3. The Chev scorers were Georgia Hampshire (2) and Grace Napoleone.

In the Boys Soccer our team had a hard fought 2-2 draw away against St Paul’s. Scorers were Sebastian Arancibia and Austen Cribbin-Blencowe.

In recent weeks there have been a host of trials for representative teams. A summary of those students to be congratulated on their successful selection follows:

GIRLS HOCKEY:  Tessa Good, April Hamilton, Kaelan Read and Peggy Handley (Manager)

BOYS HOCKEY:  Denzel Bambridge, Ethan Bambridge, Alex Dunn, Jack Howard, Darcy Howard, Luke McClay, and James Morton

NETBALL:  OPEN: Brea Newbury;  15 & Under: Logan Lewis, Zahli Terry

GIRLS FOOTBALL (SOCCER):  Charlotte Hampshire, Georgia Hampshire and Talia Austin

RUGBY:  Zinzan Still

CIS RUBGY LEAGUE:  Darcy Howard, Jack Howard

CIS AFL – 15 & Under:  Fergus Priest

WELL DONE!  to all these students and also to those who tried, but missed out on selection.
