Sports Report – ISA Winter Round 1

It may have been a couple of months later than originally planned but Winter Sport Round 1 was played on Saturday. It was great to see teams in action and kids running around. Everything seemed to go well and hopefully we can continue. Good to have the car park support crew hooting on the Hockey girls.

Special mentions to our newest ‘rookie’ coaches who have commenced their careers with a 100% win record:

Fiona O’Connell, Marg Hampton, Allison Connell, Kathi Molloy, Anna Smith

Star teams on the day were the 14s Soccer Boys who scored 10 goals in their match; and our young Year 7 and 8 Tennis teams who played very well and were convincing winners against Oxley. Special mentions to Year 7 students Yumi Folden, Molly McKeon, Scarlett Howard and Gabe Moss.

In the Netball, all of the Chev teams who played were winners. In the 1sts game, the girls were too strong for St Paul’s. Playing particularly well in defence were Molly Parkes and Zahli Terry.

The Hockey 1sts had to come from behind to snatch a draw against Oxley. Our scorer was Jemima Gripper.

Chev Hockey Squad 2 - ISA Winter Round 1

Chev Hockey Squad 2 v Oxley – ISA Winter Round 1

In Girls Soccer the Inters faired best with a 3-0 against Blue Mountains – Tannah Warner scoring 2 goals.

For the Boys Soccer 1 goal for the 1sts was enough for a win over Oxley – Christian Giuliano the scorer.

All teams will be looking forward to participating next week, particularly the Rugby boys who will be playing their first games.

Fingers crossed that Round 2 be able to take place as planned.
