Sports Report – ISA Round 7

The sun shone brightly and team performances across all sports were pretty impressive as well.

Where to start? The Chev Hockey teams were all playing away – the 1sts had their best game of the season so far with a 7-0 victory against Barker. In a very strong team performance the scorers were Tessa Good (3), April Hamilton (2) and Gabby Bunyan (2).

In the Netball it was happy days for all our Junior teams who had impressive victories against St Andrew’s, Central Coast and St Spyridon.

The Tennis A team continue to do well. On a frosty court to start the day the boys had a strong 7 sets to 1 win against St Andrew’s.

Nathaniel Tonks was this week’s star performer.

All of our Rugby sides were winners in good contests against St Andrew’s and Oakhill. It was the final home game this season for the Rugby boys who are all doing well in their competitions. The Chev 1sts, 14s and 13s are all undefeated competition leaders.

In the Girls Soccer, the 1sts started the day with a good 2-0 win against Barker. Kaysey Whymark scored both goals. The Inter Girls followed suit with a 4-1 win.

In the Boys Soccer, good wins for the 13As and the 15As and star performers were the 16s. The 16s knocked over undefeated Oakhill 3-1 with goals from Aidan Finlan, Romain Gregoire, and a cracking header from Nick Veldhuis-Reid.

So that’s about it for sport this term. Enjoy the winter break and ISA sport resumes on Saturday 28 July with Round 8.

Training continues through this week for most, if not all, teams. Check the Daily Notices for any cancellations.
