Sports Report – ISA Round 6

Another cracking winter’s day for Round 6 of the ISA competition. The Chev sporting teams were spread near and far. At school we had Netball, Tennis, and Boys Football.

The Netball teams on home courts had a very good morning. All of the Chev Inter teams were winners with the Inter C’s having a very exciting 3 point win against St Paul’s.

The Junior C’s had a big win against Central Coast and likewise the 1sts, also against Central Coast.

For the 1sts, Chev’s best players were Brea Newbury, Molly Parkes and Mackenzie Edwards.

In the Tennis local derby the Chev A team had a very close match, going down 5 sets to 3. Nathaniel Tonks was Chev’s best, winning both his singles matches.

The B team won 8 sets to 0 with Phoebe Rouse channelling her inner Ash Barty.

In the Boys Football at home we had wins for the 13s , 2nds and 1sts against Blue Mountains.

For the 2nds in a 4-0 win, Michael Alexander scored 2, Nick Veldhuis-Reid and Jonah Elias also found the back of the net. Christian Giuliano and Patrick King scored a couple of great first half goals for the firsts in a good win. Liam Ryan-East and Jack Malcolm also played well in a good team effort.

For the travelling teams the 1sts Hockey Girls had another strong game against Redlands.

The Rugby teams travelled to Bathurst and in a good day of Rugby most teams returned home with the points.
