Special Report – in loving tribute to Mr Fred Duncan
Chev rocked for Mr Duncan – lovingly known as “Dunc’ Daddy” – at the weekend’s performances of ‘We Will Rock You’, and for our sporting teams on Saturday when the icy wind disappeared and the sun shone brightly.
All sporting teams showed their respects for the much loved Teacher and Coach, Fred Duncan who very sadly, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Friday 31 May.
It was a lovely morning of play and honouring.
The ISA sporting spirit of collegiality, respect and understanding was displayed at all schools where our Chev teams were playing.
Thank you to the cast and production teams for their brave and uplifting performances of the musical on Friday and Saturday, with Fred so very present in the hearts and minds of the Chev community who attended.
Tributes poured in on the Chev Past Students Facebook page, Shield&Heart…
We are all feeling a sense of profound loss today at Chev. Fred will be missed by everyone he came into contact with. A wonderful soul ♥
The world lost a man that had a heart of gold with a great sense of humour and a man who made an impact on everyone he came into contact with, or anyone whoever had a conversation with him. Rest in Peace Sir
