Next NSW Government must lift capital funding to all schools
Catholic Education Commission NSW is directing its focus at next month’s NSW election on increasing capital funding to all NSW schools, particularly Catholic schools.
You will see from this material that NSW Catholic schools face serious funding challenges if they are to meet the forecast growth in students by 2031 (a NSW Government measure). It is therefore important that the Catholic education community discusses this issue with key influencers – parents, MPs, candidates, local media and others.
The media campaign started on Monday 2 March 2015 with a story on P7 of the Daily Telegraph http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/catholic-schools-facing-financial-crisis-not-enough-cash-to-provide-future-classrooms/story-fni0cx12-1227240665389
The figures are compelling – and we need both major parties to hear our message before election day.
