Who are you?

Students study a variety of topics involving Chemical World, Living World, Physical World, Earth and Space.

These topics are studied against a background of the application and implications of scientific study as it affects the world today and future developments.

Students are actively involved in practical experiences and research work where they acquire the necessary skills needed to complete the course, as well as prepare themselves to undertake a course in the Senior School.

Students in Stage 6, Years 11 and 12, study within one of the major disciplines:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Senior Science
  • Earth and Environmental Science

These courses both extend the work done in Stages 4 and 5 as well as prepare the students for tertiary studies.

The department has a wide variety of resources and is expanding its ITC components, including lap tops, iPads and data loggers.
