Australian Schools Basketball Championships

On Sunday 29 November, ten girls from the Chevalier College Basketball Teams travelled to Canberra to participate in five days of play in the Australian Schools Basketball Championships.

Fourteen divisions involving about 150 teams from more than 100 schools across Australia are competing. Chev is playing in the U20 Women’s Division, competing against ISA rivals Redlands and Barker, along with Victorian, Western Australian, South Australian and ACT teams.  Gavin Bull (Assistant Coach) has filed a progress report on Day 3 of the comp saying it’s been tough so far with Chev going down in their opening matches – 33-60 against Bendigo Senior (Vic); 30-63 v Hillcrest College (Qld), and a very close 42-44 v Redlands (NSW).
